  • It has been a quiet week here.

Yesterday we did go out.  Got a hair trim, went to church and our monthly shopping at Wal Mart----big whoopdeedoo!

We lead such exciting lives, don't we???

Ken went to visit one of his brothers on Thursday.  Merlin lives about an hour away, but hadn't seen him for over a year.  Ken wanted me to come along, but I thought they needed "brother" time.  I always talk too much!!!!!   They did go and look at motor homes.  I had found a possible one for us online in the area.  They didn't find that one, but did find another one.  We might go look at it next week.  But, when we went out yesterday, we noticed gas is up to $3.34 a gallon here.  I asked Ken if it was really wise to be thinking about a motor home with those kind of gas prices??  Would we really make that much use of it???  Still lots of questions.  And we are true procrastinators!!!  Especially when it comes to spending that kind of money at our ages.

The snow is almost gone, except for the piles that were plowed or blown.  But, the temps just are not going up much.  Only in mid-30's for highs.  Last year our area had a couple days of record-breaking highs.  Of course, we were not here to enjoy them.  We were in Arizona, where almost all the days were nice!!!

Talked to our traveling son last evening.

They are in Corpus Christi, TX for a month.  Jeff got a temporary job, which his bosses insist will be permanent!  lol

Jeff does say that, of all the places they have been to so far, he does like the CC area the best.

He has altered his schedule with the company that wants him as a traveling sign man for the golf tournaments.  He will do the one tournament in Des Moines the middle of May.  Then he will return to Wisconsin---La Crosse--- until August.  The singing granddaughters are seriously thinking of moving to Nashville.  Mindy wants to finish out the school year here, and Hannah's lease doesn't expire until August.  They are not 100% sure that they will do this, but it is a good possibility.

Jeff said that one of the guys he did work for, when he had his own sign company, said Jeff could park the bus by his place, and that Jeff could work for him while he was in town.

Then, when (if) the girls decide to move, they will help them, and go to Nashville to settle them in.

There are a couple more tournaments Jeff could do after that, if he wants to.  One in Alabama in Sept., and one in Florida in November.

Of course, there will be a baby born sometime in there, too!!!!  It is due early September.  I  wish they would stay in the area until then, but I cannot always have my way!!!  lol

  • THE BEST LAID PLANS????

Yesterday I was commenting to various Xangans that we had no plans for Easter.

Well, last night our DIL in town, Lori, called and told us to come over at Noon today for dinner.  Grand, Lydia, had made it home from her Juarez trip, and had pictures to show us.  Her boyfriend and his brother also came up with her.  Hadn't met the brother before, and wanted to see if he was as nice as the boyfriend.

This morning we didn't get up early enough for Sunrise service at church, but we did make it to the 8:00 service.  The kids were going to 10:30, and we would go over when they got home.

The church service was wonderful.  Since we usually go to the Thursday evening services, we don't get to see and hear the "special" things----like the choir, Jr. choir, Praise choir, or the school kids sing.  Nor do we get any of the special music outside of the organ playing.

Today, we got it all.  One of Lydia's classmates from high school is a VERY talented young man.  He is a Jr. in college, and had won a scholarship to Julliard in NYC.  He is winning awards all the time.  He plays the violin so beautifully, and also plays the saxophone, piano, and who knows what else.  Has a great singing voice, too.  Both his parents are music teachers.  Anyway, he played the violin before the service, accompanied by his mom on the organ.   One of the pieces was "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire".  Absolutely soul-lifting.  Besides his playing the violin, we had trumpets and trombones playing during the service.  Had the Sr. and Jr. choirs, and also our new bell choir.  A very uplifting service.  And, of course, the church was filled---as it usually is on the holidays.  It is always better when so many voices are lifted in praise!

We came home from church, and I decided I had to take something over to the kids.  Couldn't go empty-handed.  So, I made a big tray of deviled eggs.

Right near noon, I told Ken that the kids were probably home from church, so let's get going.  I was just shutting down the computer when there was a knock at the door.  It was Lydia, her boyfriend, and his brother.  I told them we were just getting ready to come over to your house----what are you doing here????  Lydia said "Didn't Mom call you?"  I said "No".  She said that two of the little ones were not feeling well, and Lori knew we wouldn't want to come if there was sickness, so she was going to call and say the dinner was off.  Lydia and the boys came to show us the pictures from Juarez, and just to visit a while.

I sure couldn't figure out why Lori didn't call, until the proverbial "light bulb" went off in my head.  I went into my bedroom, where the answering machine is, and sure enough the message light was flashing.  I hadn't even noticed it when we got home from church.  If I had seen it, I certainly wouldn't have made all those deviled eggs!!  But, I sent them home with Lyd.  I know they all like them---and they weren't around to tempt me.

Had a nice visit with Lyd, Nate and Mark.  The 70 students who went to Juarez built two small houses in 3 days!!  The houses are very simple---only three rooms.  They are stuccoed on the outside, and only rough drywall (not even taped) on the inside.  There is electricity, but no plumbing.  They did install a ceiling fan, and donated a space heater.  Really fairly primitive, but much nicer than what the two families had been living in.  The 70 kids camped out on a gymnasium floor.  Not even able to take showers!!  The main sponsoring group is called "Casas de Cristo" (Houses of Christ).

On their way home they had to come a different way.  Normally, coming from OK city they would head to Tulsa and then St. Louis.  But, with all the flooding in Missouri, the bus went straight north from OK City up through  Kansas and Iowa to Davenport and over.

Lydia even brought us a present back from Mexico.

A serape.  The color matches my recliner perfectly!!   Thanks, Lyd!!!

After they left, I prepared the meal we originally planned,  before Lori had called last nite asking us over there.

While we were eating, we looked out the window and saw this.

    IMG_0223.JPG

    SNOW!

It lasted about an hour--off and on.  It didn't really stick, though.  You can see we still have some areas of snow around, but more and more grass is showing through.  My tulips and daffydills (they are "daffy" for coming up so early) are peeking out on the south side against the house.  The other planting bed is still under at least a foot of snow.

Grandson, Silas, just dropped off the empty deviled egg tray on his way back to college.  He has about a 4 hr. drive ahead of him.  He will drop off his girlfriend at Madison on his way back to Plattville.  Last night he was on our side of town---where his girlfriend lives.  Right  near her house he hit a deer.  Just a small one, and it was right in town, so he wasn't going fast.  He just dented in his front bumper a little more than it already was!  He called the police, and was able to claim the deer.  They  butchered it last night.  Son, Greg, was happy about it, because he doesn't get to go hunting anymore.  They miss having venison around.

Well, this is one looooooong blog.  Hope you made it all the way through without taking a nap.  I figure this makes up for at LEAST 3 regular blogs.  So I won't have to write again for quite a while!!!!!  lol

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.

  • I didn't think I would be writing a blog until after Easter, but heard from the "travelers" today.  Talked to Jeff for almost 1 1/2 hrs.!  He did most of the talking, of course!  lol

They are at a campground at the very southern tip of South Padre Island, TX.  They will stay there until Saturday morning, when they will go to Corpus Christi, TX, where a couple of our churches are located---for going to church on Easter Sunday.  They have found churches to attend all along the way so far.  It was 80 degrees there at about 10:30 this morning.  It was 30 here at the same time!

His main news was that he has the possibility of the perfect job for himself.

I don't know how he found out about it, but he contacted a sign company in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, who are looking for a sign person to travel the country.  They have a couple crews that travel the country doing the signage for the PGA golf tournaments.  They are setting up an additional crew.  The crew spends about 3 weeks at the site of the tournament, making, setting up, and dismantling all the signs used.

It would be a perfect job for him.  They normally would pay for transportation, hotels, food, etc..  All they need to pay for Jeff is his fuel to get to the tournaments.  The pay is fairly good, with a LOT of overtime the week before the tournament.

He mentioned 3 of the places he would be going.  A place in Alabama would be first, and then the other two are in Colorado Springs and Des Moines.  There is a fourth place, too, but cannot remember where that one is.

He is now waiting to hear if he got the job.  It starts in April sometime.  Will keep you posted when I find out anything.

    (EDIT)

Jeff just called back at 2pm our time, saying he just heard from the company, and he has the job.  He will be considered an independent contractor, so no taxes taken off his checks.  They will be calling him back tomorrow with more details, and telling him where he will be going first.  He starts at the top of their beginning pay scale, and will be guaranteed at least 12 days of work at each tournament, working 7 days a week.  Because he is an independent contractor, he doesn't get overtime----but he says the pay will still be excellent!  So, he is excited.

Looking online, it looks like he will be working on the PGA Champions tournaments.  Not positive about that, though.  Will let you know when I hear more from him.

They spent a couple days in Laredo, TX, but didn't get to see Judy's sister.  They (her sis) had gotten an early start on their trip, and when they got to Laredo, Jeff wasn't there yet.  Martine was anxious to get across the border and on their way, so they didn't wait for Jeff to get there.

Jeff said Laredo was an interesting city.  Very few white Americans live there.  They went to a Mexican restaurant, and nobody spoke English. The restaurant had to find someone who understood a little english.  The menu was in Spanish, so they needed help in translating it.  He said the whole city reminded him of the Mexican cities we visited back in the 70's.  A lot of poverty.

They also went to Brownsville, TX---to the Eagle bus company.  The original company that built his bus went out of business, but someone has started it up again as the Silver Eagle Bus Co..  They build entertainment buses now.  Jeff needed some parts for his bus, so thought he would go right to the source, since parts are hard to find.  The owner of this big company came out to look at his bus.  Jeff said it was very interesting talking to him and one of the other managers he talked with.  Jeff saw how differently the buses are made now---much lighter in weight.

That is about it.  There was another interesting thing, but won't go into that unless it comes to pass.  It involves him and a former neighbor from LaCrosse.

So, that brings you up-to-date on them.

Pretty soon I have to start getting ready for our early Maundy Thursday service.

Again, hope you all have a wonderful, blessed Easter!

  • Well, I got four new friends on Facebook----friends from here on Xanga.  Thanks!

Last week, DIL Lori said that Sylvia and Louise would be playing in a band at church on Palm Sunday.

We never go to church on Sunday.  We like the mid-week evening service, which is just like Sunday's, but usually not with the "special" things, like kids or choir singing, or the band playing.

But, I did want to hear them, so I managed to get up early in order to make 8:00 service.  Since the band had only had two practices, I figured they were only going to play one or two pieces----WRONG.  I also thought it was going to be the grade school kids----WRONG again.  It was made up of all ages from the congregation.  There were 22 people in the band, with Sylvia and Louise probably the youngest at 11 and 13.

We had no organ playing at all.  The band played for about 15 minutes before the service,  played all the accompaniment for the hymn singing, played during the offering, and played after the service while everyone was ushered out.  Amazing that they did all that with only two practices.  The girls said the hymns were easy, but it took a little longer to learn the other pieces.

I love it when there is special music like that.  So uplifting!!

Later on, the kids called and said "Turn the oven on to 425".  We are on our way.  Less than 5 minutes later they were coming in the door with Papa Murphy pizzas.  Had a nice visit.  Silas's girlfriend stopped in for a few minutes, too.

Their oldest, Lydia, would normally have been here, too, since she is on Spring break.  But she is spending the break down in Juarez, Mexico.  No, not partying.  70 students from Concordia went down there to do building projects.  She wasn't sure she would get to go, because she was on the waiting list, but she made it.  I think it is wonderful that there is a waiting list to do charity work!!  Especially, when these kids could be partying somewhere instead.  She will be home for Easter, so am anxious to hear about the experience.

Do you all have Easter plans?  I hope it includes worshiping our risen Savior!

  • Sunny C has scolded me for not blogging for over a week.

But nothing has happened this week.

The only place I went was to Walgreen's and grocery shopping one day.

    Whoopdee-doo----big deal!

    We did have company yesterday.

One of Ken's sisters and her hubby from 1 1/2 hrs. away.

We spent about 3 hours of non-stop yakking.  We always find things to talk about!

Ken bought his sis a gift.  He said she needed him(Ken) in her garden.

    2008-3-11--gnome for linda2.JPG

     Resembles Ken, doesn't it??

(Eat your heart out Maggie_Tx!! lol)

After they left, I called the travelers.

It was our grand Kenny's 11th birthday.

Since I couldn't send him a card I called him.

Talked to Judy for quite a while.  We found out that she is feeling fine now that she knows she is pregnant.

One day this last week they went to Carlsbad Caverns.  They all agreed that it was the highlight of their trip so far.

They are in San Antonio as of yesterday, staying in a Wal Mart parking lot----which makes 14-yr. old Gretta very happy.  She can go shopping whenever she wants!

If Jeff didn't find work yesterday, they will continue on to Laredo, TX.

One thing they have discovered is that they do NOT like large cities.  But sign companies where Jeff could work are usually in the larger cities.

Judy's sister is married to a Mexican, whose family has a large farm down near Mexico City.  They drive down there from Chicago once or twice a year.  This weekend they will be going through Texas on their way there, and will meet up with Jeff and Judy---probably Sunday.

J & J  had originally planned on driving the bus down into Mexico with Judy's sis, and seeing M's family farm.  But now with Judy 3 mos. pregnant, they thought they shouldn't take the chance that she might come down with something along the way.

Judy said that as much as the two kids didn't want to leave their home and go on the road, they are loving it now.  I knew that they would once they adjusted to a different lifestyle.  They are doing and seeing so many fun and wonderful things---and learning so much in the process.

    -------------------------------------------

Our temps have gotten up above freezing---finally.  It reached 44 yesterday.  This coming week it will be around the mid-30's, which is normal for this time of year.  The snow is melting, just not fast enough for me!  lol  We are getting a little more sunshine, too, which makes me feel better.

I HAVE been reading you all through my subscriptions, just haven't been commenting much.   I have been so busy with my computer.  I am still getting it set up.  I keep finding things that I thought had been backed up, but were not.  Some financial stuff that takes forever to get on the computer because it is so boring to do.  Also quite a few pictures did not get backed up for some reason.  Some are lost forever, and others I have here on Xanga somewhere----just a matter of digging through almost 5 yrs. of pics here.  And I have to be in the mood to do it, too!!  That is the hardest part.

Last fall I had heard that Facebook had opened up to anyone----not just high school and college kids.  So I opened an account back then, but never did anything with it.  I don't know what made me think of it a couple weeks ago, but went on there, and tried to figure it out.   I didn't have any "friends", so could not read anybody else's site.  I entered our last name in the search engine, and found all our older grands on there.  I "poked" Jacob, and he asked me to be his "friend".  I responded OK.  Then my presence was known on his site.  All of a sudden I got invites from most of the other grands.  There are two that want to stay private, and I don't blame them.  The others all have pictures up that I hadn't seen before, and have really enjoyed seeing them.  Jacob has a lot of pictures of his apartment complex and his apartment in San Jose.  (Just found out that he and his roommate are moving, though, to a cheaper place).  I also got a "friend" invite from a nephew who is a professor at Baylor Univ. in Waco, TX.  He had pics up of the beautiful home he had built there.  Also just received an invite from the best friend of one my granddaughters.  She and her sis were always at Jeff's house. When we would be over there for a visit,  I could never tell the two of them apart, and would always call them names like "Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum" or "Frick and Frack" or the "Bobbsey Twins".  When they and granddaughter were being especially silly, I'd call the three of them "The Three Stooges".  The two friends were very shy when they were younger, and when I would call them by the various names, they would just giggle and smile, but not say much.  Now that they are grown up, they are fun to talk to.

Anyway, I have all of 8 "friends" there.  Some of the kids have over a hundred friends and acquaintences from high school, college and work.  It is a good way for them to touch base with them all.

So, that has taken a bit of time, setting it all up.

But, it will never take the place of my Xanga!  Xanga will always be #1 with me.  So, as I said before, even though I may not write as often, I do read you all.  Maybe now that the weather is improving I will have a little more ambition.  We shall see!!

One last bit of news. Last, but certainly not least!! Our local granddaughter, who is a Jr. at Concordia University outside Milwaukee, made the Dean's List.  Her name was in our paper, too.

    Good going, Lyd!!!!

    Hugs to you all!

  • SHOCKER!!!!!

Received a call from the travelers last evening.

Jeff loves to be enigmatic when he first starts talking.

He asked me if I was superstitious.   I said, "no, not really".   He asked if I was superstitious about the number 13.  It took me a little while to realize what he was saying.

They are expecting their 7th child, which will make 13 grands for us.!!!!!

The real shocker of this is that their youngest, Kenny, will be 11 1/2 when the new baby is born!

Judy will be 46 in June.

So, needless to say this was quite a surprise for us-------and for them, too.  But we are all excited about it.  The two grands on the bus are really excited about it, too.  Gretta, 14, always enjoyed working with Judy with the daycare Judy ran before they became "travelers".

This will not change their plans at all.  Judy is very healthy.  When the time is near, they will be sure to be somewhere where medical care is available---which is just about anywhere!  I tried to convince him that September in Wisconsin is beautiful.  Don't think he fell for it!  lol

They figure she got pregnant when they were here with the bus the beginning of December----the beginning of their journey.

It is funny, but when I would talk with Judy, she would complain that she just wasn't feeling the best.  That she must have picked up a "bug" that she just couldn't shake.  She was having "digestive" problems.  She attributed it to all the changes-----living on the bus on the road, etc.---in her life.

I wanted to announce it here last night already, but Jeff had tried calling all the grown kids, but got voice mail for all of them.  He was waiting for them to call back to tell them.  So, I waited until this morning.  Mindy made the announcement on her Facebook, so I know they know.

Ken said that they should try to think up a name related to traveling.

A few weeks ago, Judy said that she was enjoying their adventure, but when Jeff was working they didn't have a car to get around in, and it got boring.  I don't think she will be bored anymore!!

Ken was upstairs in bed already when Jeff called.  I yelled "WHAT"???? so loudly when Jeff told me, that Ken came downstairs  to see what was going on.

I cannot imagine having a baby at that age.  Our oldest grand was born when I was 42.  (Jeff's oldest)  Jacob is now 24.

Just had to share this wonderful surprise with all of my Xanga friends!

Keep them in your prayers---- that everything goes smoothly.

  • A Favor, Please!

Several of you have exchanged e-mail addresses with me.  I have lost all of them.  I thought my Outlook Express was backed up on my external drive, but it wasn't.  I lost everything in my e-mail.

If you could leave me your e-mail address, either by "messaging" me, or e-mail it to me, I would really appreciate it.  I had a list from my old computer, but so many of the addresses have changed since 3 yrs. ago, most of them are useless.  I have heard from Sunny C and Josaju, so I have theirs.

    Thank you ahead of time.

    ---------------------------------------------

Talked to son, Jeff, late yesterday afternoon.  I answered the phone, and he said "Guess where I am?"  I knew he could be anywhere in the southwest!!  Dumb question!!

He said "I'm at the Crystal Palace."  Took me a couple seconds to remember where that is----Tombstone, Arizona.  He said they had been just walking around the main street, and turned into this place.  He said to Judy and kids, "I remember this place.  Mom, Dad, Greg and I were here in the 70's, when we were on our way to Mexico."  I figure he was around 10 yrs. old at the time.  It is an old-time saloon. Very old, dark wood and ornate bar with tin (copper?) ceilings.  The Crystal Palace dates back to about 1880.  The original bar was purportedly sold to a Mexican cantina during prohibition, and burned a couple years later, but was reconstructed in the Crystal Palace Saloon in the early 60's.

Anyway, from Tombstone they were going down to Bisbee and on to Las Cruces, before going to Carlsbad Caverns.

He had gone to the two sign companies in Sierra Vista, but neither place could use him temporarily.  But both were interested in him permanently.  Told him if he decided to live in SV permanently, they would like to hire him.  I think it will be quite a while before he decides where he wants to live, though.

    ---------------------------------

Sometime I will have to blog about our trip to Mexico.  Quite a saga.  A trip none of us will ever forget.

    ------------------------------------

Don't forget to give me your e-mail addresses!  Thanks!!  You all are the best!

  • HAPPY SATURDAY!

    I'm baaccckkk!...........

But will still not be blogging much for a while.

My computer arrived home yesterday afternoon.

    It had to be reformatted.

    Sooooooo-----

I have a lot of things to put back on it.

I made a backup at the beginning of the year on an external drive---just have to find the directions of how to get it on here.  And first have to put on the software.

Fortunately, all my pictures were backed up on discs to the end of 2007, and any pics I took this year are still on the camera---just have to upload them again.

I must admit that I am happy with HP.  I called Tech Support on Saturday night, around 9 p.m., and got right through.  I could understand most of what "Tony" said, through his accent, and I had already tried most of the things he asked me to do.  I had been doing something online, when the blue screen flashed, and then turned to black, with an error message, saying my Windows was missing or corrupt.  Went into the bios and checked what I could, but my Windows was gone.  I also used the recovery disc that came with the computer, but it doesn't have the Windows program on it---even though Tony said it should.  I read in my Smart Computing magazine that unless you have original Microsoft Windows discs, you cannot restore Windows.  HP does not supply them with the computer.

Anyway, HP sent a shipping box via FedEx.  Received it on Tuesday.  Packed the box and called FedEx the same day, and they picked it up an hour later.  It arrived in CA Wednesday.  And they returned it via FedEx overnight, too.   As I said before, it arrived Friday afternoon. Since I had taken out an extended warranty, neither the repair nor shipping cost me a penny.  The repair sheet shows they replaced a fan, some memory, and reinstalled my operating system.

They even e-mailed me each step of the way.  Of course, without a computer, I couldn't read them until I got the computer back!  lol

Either Greg or Lori would keep me informed about comments on the blog Greg wrote.  I told him that he did very well----better than I do.  He has a great sense of humor.  Actually, both boys do.  Told Greg he should start a blog.  Don't think that is going to happen!  lol

Man, did this week drag!  I never realized how long the days are!!  Without the computer to give my mind any stimulation, I took a nap almost every day, and went to bed about 1-2 hrs. earlier at night.  When I would read for any length of time I'd get sleepy!  TV was boring.  Usually I am on here while watching TV.  Without the computer, I'd sit and actually WATCH the shows.  Since my hands and mind were not busy, I kept thinking about eating----very bad!  But I did pretty good.  Mostly because there wasn't any snacky stuff around.  If there had been, it would have been gone!

Friday we went out--haircut, church, errands.  Picked up a crossword and variety puzzle book to get my mind working again.  The computer arrived about an hour after we got home.

    ----------------------------------

Talked to our daughter-in-law, Judy, today.  The travelers are now in Sierra Vista, Arizona.  Judy likes it because it is a smaller town.  On Monday, Jeff will go to the two sign companies in town to see about getting a couple weeks work.  If he cannot get work, they will leave SV later Monday or Tuesday.  They want to go to visit the new Kartchner Caverns down in SE Arizona.  Then they will make their way over to Texas.  The campground they are at advertised wireless internet, but after Jeff paid for the weekend, he asked about it, and was told it wasn't working.  So, no update from him for a while again.

    ---------------------------------------

Someone had asked me how our two granddaughters were doing with their singing.  They each have such conflicting schedules that is it difficult for them to get together.

But, they did get a demo cd done.  The local guy with the local studio set up an appointment for them at the oldest recording company in Nashville.  Last weekend the girls took a trip to Nashville and met with the head honcho.  He spent 1 1/2 hrs. with them, giving them good advice on how to improve.  What they also found out is that it would take big bucks to work with this studio.  Something like $35,000!!

Evidently, the girls had thought about spending the summer in Nashville, but aren't sure if they are going to go ahead with it or not.  They certainly cannot afford that kind of money that studio wants.  Don't know what they had planned on doing while there.  It is a tough business to break into when you don't have money!!

They are making a video to submit to NBC for a summer reality show.  It is similar to American Idol, but it features country music, and there is no age limit, and also takes duos or trios, too.  Perfect for them.  The show had been on cable last year, and they are moving it to NBC this year.

    --------------------------

Well, this blog should last you all for a while.  I DID get carried away, didn't I??

Now back to the boring, yet sometimes frustrating work of getting this computer set up again!

Thanks for all your nice comments!  I really missed you all------a LOT!!!!!!!!!!

I felt like I was cut off from the whole world------well, MY world, anyway!

  • February 24, 2008- Black Sunday

    Dear Xangan friends of Mimiwi,

I (Greg, her son) just received a call from Mom.  She wanted me to inform all of you that her computer crashed.  Bummer!  She is already going through withdrawal.  She contacted the computer company and they tried walking her through steps to get things going again, but to no avail.   Now she has to send it in.  Fortunately for her, she had an extended warranty (we'll see).  So, if you wonder why she isn't blogging here or commenting on your sites, she hasn't decided to end it all because of this long snowy winter, or decided to devote herself 100% to seeing to Dad's every need .  She's merely the victim of a rogue electron or two.

    IMG_0205 (Small).JPG Today!

And, we haven't changed a bit!!  Yeah, right!!  lol

    Well, not inside, anyway!

We didn't really do anything for our anniversary.  We never do.  I am in the middle of my hibernation time, and have no desire to go out unless I have to.

One of Ken's sisters and her hubby came over for a visit.  They had been in Arizona for two months, and we had lots to catch up on.  When we are together, it is non-stop talking---for 3 1/2 hours.  Love them so much.

By the time they left, it was too late to go out for the late lunch we thought we would do.  So we just ate left-overs.  Next Friday, after church, we will go out for a buffet dinner in the next town.  That will be our anniversary treat.

Greg and family came over last night for a while, too.  Ken had gone to bed early since he had gotten up early yesterday morning.  But he did come down to visit for a little while.

So, it was a nice day.
