It has been a quiet week here.
Yesterday we did go out. Got a hair trim, went to church and our monthly shopping at Wal Mart—-big whoopdeedoo!
We lead such exciting lives, don’t we???
Ken went to visit one of his brothers on Thursday. Merlin lives about an hour away, but hadn’t seen him for over a year. Ken wanted me to come along, but I thought they needed “brother” time. I always talk too much!!!!! They did go and look at motor homes. I had found a possible one for us online in the area. They didn’t find that one, but did find another one. We might go look at it next week. But, when we went out yesterday, we noticed gas is up to $3.34 a gallon here. I asked Ken if it was really wise to be thinking about a motor home with those kind of gas prices?? Would we really make that much use of it??? Still lots of questions. And we are true procrastinators!!! Especially when it comes to spending that kind of money at our ages.
The snow is almost gone, except for the piles that were plowed or blown. But, the temps just are not going up much. Only in mid-30′s for highs. Last year our area had a couple days of record-breaking highs. Of course, we were not here to enjoy them. We were in Arizona, where almost all the days were nice!!!
Talked to our traveling son last evening.
They are in Corpus Christi, TX for a month. Jeff got a temporary job, which his bosses insist will be permanent! lol
Jeff does say that, of all the places they have been to so far, he does like the CC area the best.
He has altered his schedule with the company that wants him as a traveling sign man for the golf tournaments. He will do the one tournament in Des Moines the middle of May. Then he will return to Wisconsin—La Crosse— until August. The singing granddaughters are seriously thinking of moving to Nashville. Mindy wants to finish out the school year here, and Hannah’s lease doesn’t expire until August. They are not 100% sure that they will do this, but it is a good possibility.
Jeff said that one of the guys he did work for, when he had his own sign company, said Jeff could park the bus by his place, and that Jeff could work for him while he was in town.
Then, when (if) the girls decide to move, they will help them, and go to Nashville to settle them in.
There are a couple more tournaments Jeff could do after that, if he wants to. One in Alabama in Sept., and one in Florida in November.
Of course, there will be a baby born sometime in there, too!!!! It is due early September. I wish they would stay in the area until then, but I cannot always have my way!!! lol

Your traveling family is certainly having a busy and wonderful time if it! So glad things are going well for them

I thought you were going to say, “It has been a quiet week here in Lake Wobegon.” It is sunny here today and finally out of the 30s, but the wind makes it feel cold outside. It may be quiet for you, but your extended family is making up for it big time! RV? Gas is $3.45 here.
Isn’t he lucky to have a skill and be so good at it, that he has no problem working himself into whatever company and doing well? He hasn’t up-dated his site for so long that I’m wondering if he is going to keep it up. Hope the dil is not sick with this pregnancy.
Our oldest g-son is also making a move. We are anxious about it just as you are. He says he will finish up his last year of school in Duluth, MN where he is going to be running some kind of new concept gaming store. Like all the computerized things where people interact with the sport or whatever. We will learn more next weekend when he comes down with Wil for the weekend. We are storing the motorcycle I guess. G-son, Jarrod, will move in May when school is out. Just keep him in your prayers. He doesn’t have the “grounding” your g-daughters have and he is not with another sibling. He will be 23 on the 31st so we really have no say. I told Wil I am going to say what I think of some of what is happening with the move and then that’s it. I don’t want o alienate him. He wants us to take the truck and trailer and move him and I’d love to do that. But the truck is really too old for that kind of trip. Have to see what works out.
Wil has a sibling thing in the next couple of weeks but I’m not going for many reasons. It is just 20 miles away so he can deal with it all himself. My depression is kicking in again and I just can’t see putting myself in a position for it to turn into a panic attack.
Your week was about as exciting as mine was except that strange things happened with my PC ! It’s been too cold to go out and with rain as well indoors is the place to be.

Forgot to say it was good to read about the travellers and their doings. M:giggle:
Better slow down that pace. Sounds like too much excitement…..
I think La Crosse is a good place to have a baby.
I see that you are reading High Noon. How do you like it so far? I liked it..
We had a good trip to my parents. But by the time we got back on Thursday the sore throat I had been fighting all week turned into a achy cold thing. YUCK. Not much energy. Did have to go out and buy a new Washing machine this week. Mine was 13 years old, we bought it when we moved to Hingham, so we were due but not money I was planning on spending right now.
So, you are thinking of buying an RV? WOW! You could follow Jeff around! Sounds like things keep going well with the family. God does provide!
hey girl, any pace that is good for you, is good. right? motor home, eh? sounds like fun, but what about them gas prices, huh? what’s to come of all this? Good hear from traveling son; he likes to do what he does, that’s great!
take care my friend, and thanks for your comment to my poem…(cool off) lolol:yes:
hugs,
sage
WOW! You are thinking of buying a motor home.:spinning: Sometimes I think it might be a good way to travel with the cats but then…well..been there and done that for 10 years and now when I see a motorhome or anykind of RV, I think of JouJou and I start feeling just way too sad. She was such an important part of our traveling…I couldn’t imagine being in one without her and she helped us make so many friends. Everyone who met her, remembered her.
One really great thing about motorhomes is that when caught in a traffic tie up, you can use the bathroom. I really LOVED that!
Sounds like your kids are in our neck of the woods. If they head north, they ought to check out the river in San Marcos and go tubing. It is really great!
At least they are coming home for a while. What will your DIL do about anti natal care?
How pretty it is in here!
I’m glad you had fun with your family. You should post a picture of your new haircut I’m sure you look lovely.
Speaking of motor home, I guess it depends what’s the purpose. Most motor home are use for traveling at lesser home bill but if you guys have a good reason there’s nothing wrong purchasing one.
Oh a quiet week sounds Heavenly! Been go go go here since we got home from vacation.
Nice to get an update on everyone. Thanks Nanc!!!!
