YIPPEE!!!!!
I walked into rehab on Wednesday, my last day, and instead of Darcy and Becky being there, there was a young good-looking fella named Todd. I stopped in my tracks and announced—”Wouldn’t you know it!!! My last day, and NOW they finally bring in a good-looking hunk!!!” Nice kid. He probably is only a couple years older than my oldest grandson. But had to keep teasing him. He is just there for a week and a half, while the other two gals are on vacation.
At the end of each rehab session, we have to just sit in a chair and rest for a few minutes before they take our blood pressure. Then we can remove the heart monitor leads from our chests. I guess I was in a hurry, and not thinking, and I started to take a lead off before they checked my BP. Jillian quickly reminded me I needed my BP first. Todd came over, chuckling, and said “Is this just your first session???” (Knowing very well it was my last). I looked up at him with a sweet smile and said “Smarta**”! That got everybody laughing. Yeah, we have fun at the exercise sessions. I will miss the friends I have made there!

A while back I showed pictures of the fireplace Ken built back in the 50′s. I mentioned that the concrete mantle needed replacing. Ken made that his project last week. Will show the old pics, and then the new ones. Forgot to take a pic of it when he had it all formed up to pour the concrete, though. Looks so nice now.
Mid 50′s, when he built it. (Before I even knew him).
What it looked like in April.
Last week, after taking off the old mantle. You can see the new metal lintel he put in. What was left of the old one is circled in the picture. It was almost all rusted away, with just a small piece on each side left.

All put back together again. He made the mantle thicker this time.
This was before he cleaned the smeared mortar off the stones he replaced back into the fireplace.
Good as new, Honey!!

He does good work! It’s nice he can be doing stuff like that again. How is he doing? Biking yet? Have a good one!
Ken did a marvelous job! It’s better than new!
Congratulations with completing the rehab. Will you keep in touch with any of the people you met there? Do you think you will join a different group of some kind, just to have that kind of friendship? I think it would make me feel lonely once I stopped meeting people when I was used to it.
You mean old lady….giving those sweet young men a hard time. lol Glad you did well and are released….that doesn’t mean you can stop walking and working out……Stick with it. You’ll be glad you did.
Has the rehab worked , do you feel fitter now. great job by Ken on the fire
Congrats on graduating
Having a handsome young man checking you must have made it all worth while
Ken has made a wonderful job of the fireplace – hope he doesn’t work too hard.
Marie
Were you trying to flunk class so you got held back?! Hehehehe
Good job on graduating and I loved the update on the fireplace.
congrats!!! :fun: I bet you made that young man blush. The fireplace looks great!!!:coolman:
I think you will be missed at rehab! Congratulations! We’re having pretty cool nights down here, so I’m sure you must be, too. Wednesday night we tied a record low for the date, 50. The lake is 12 degrees cooler than usual for this time so that’s supposedly the culprit! So, what will you be doing now on M, W and F?
Silly me…I meant to add that because it’s so cool I bet you’re loving the new fireplace!!!
that is cool he fixed it good as new! do you sit out by the fire alot? we love to have fires here. ken reminds me of a guy that used to live around the corner from us. he must be feeling better.
I expect you will miss going is there anything similar you can go to to let you meet people Ken did a good job on that fireplace comgrats to him and I hope you keep well Love Marj
OOOh – can we have a cookout by that cool fireplace? It’s not going to rain this year. I have spoken!!!!
Congrats!! I know how you can come to love your compatriots in cardio. I have made life-long friends there.
Tell Ken he looks like Santa who just came down that chimney!! Or maybe not..LOL.
I am leaving you a guestbook message.
You are a new woman certified , Nancy ! with a diploma . I add my own congratulations.
I am admiring the work made by Ken . This fire is a jewel, an artist ‘ s masterpiece . I would want to be able to make the same . But Ken is a mason .
Love
Michel
Ken did a great job! :goodjob:
I got my CD from Jim Wand and wondered if you could play yours and send me a script. A hearing-impaired person can memorize a script and follow a CD filling in the words they don’t hear. I surely would appreciate it. My email is bevcrook@gmail.com.
I am excited about this. I have an old CD player that I put beside my bed that plays music that is soothing so I know I can use this CD.
You are so kind about my hearing from Jason. I am just thrilled to pieces. I hurt to see my grandchildren again.
Answer . You ask Nancy what are the trees lining my street . They are white poplars .

The posts at the driveways already have hit in the past by a mason’ s truch and by me recently ( where my mind was ??? ) .
Yes regularly some works are to do to maintain the house built in 1930 and I posted twice about . You have good memory .
Love
Michel
