We will be gone for a few days.
We are leaving tomorrow (Sat.) morning to go see the kids in LaCrosse, and to stop by Ken’s brother on the way. We’ll be back sometime Wednesday.
Our motel is supposed to have wireless—-we shall see. The two motels we stopped at last trip out west were supposed to be wireless, too, but neither did. One’s was “not working right”, and the other said theirs was out, but that we could go to the lobby of the motel across the road and use theirs. Yeah, right!
Will take pictures to share with you. Hopefully, Judy will let me take a picture of her VERY pregnant self. We have been invited to a dinner party at one of their friend’s on Monday. That should be fun. Judy says I will love their house. Says we have the same taste in decorating. Hmmm—is that good or bad??? lol
Must get going. Have lots to do today. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Oh, Lydia stopped by yesterday to fill us in on her experiences so far with working with the Rams football team. She didn’t go to Nashville with the team this week. There are 5 interns, and only room for three on the plane. She volunteered to stay behind. She knew she could work here at home during that time, and also take the rest of her things for school back down there. Because she and the other gal didn’t go to Nashville, they will go to St. Louis with the team and stay there for the game there and then go on to the Kansas City game with them, too. She will miss the first week of school. These will be chartered flights with the team. She heard they are royally treated on these flights. Can’t wait to hear all about it.
Her boyfriend will probably be in St. Louis during the time she is there (his folks live there). He will have finished his summer job, and will be there until he has to go back to Concordia, too. But, Lydia says that with her schedule, she is not even sure she will get to see him. Awwwww!
The head trainer for the team took all the trainers and interns out for dinner one night to a very fancy restaurant. She said the food was wonderful. And the bill humongous. Thank goodness she didn’t have to pay for it.
She said the players are all so nice. She enjoys driving them to the hospital. The trainers do not assess them much on the field. They send them to the hospital pretty quickly for any possible injury. She says she gets to know them one-on-one a lot better during the drive.
It will be hard for her to go back to “normal” athletic training with her college teams. Everything is the “best” with any pro teams.
Ok! Enough now. Gotta go!!
