  • HAUTE CUISINE??????

Ken made scrambled eggs for supper tonight.
I took my share and made two sandwiches for myself.
    Ken made “this” for himself.

This is two slices of pumpernickel bread with the scrambled eggs on top.
    OK so far.
Even the ketchup isn’t too bad—-I used to put ketchup on my scrambled eggs when I was a teen.
    BUT!!!
I did NOT put relish on top of that.
Nor have I ever put Cool Whip on top of all of that!!

    Haute cuisine??  I think not!
    Just weird Ken cuisine.

This is one reason that, when Ken cooks, I will often find something different for myself.  He does have a tendency to put odd things together!  lol

  • I guess the col whip tastes like sour cream?

  • I was thinking salsa and sour cream and thought that looked okay but then……..YUCK!

  • that’s odd. even my hubby Dave thinks so

  • Well remind him of what he ate when he wakes you up with indgestion about midnite !!!

  • EEEEEeeewwwww!!!!!   Did he LIKE it?!

Sounds like a bestseller cookbook to me – “Just Weird Ken Cuisine”.  You know, with all the recipes out there that always seem odd to me, as though they have to add something different to get a whole new recipe, I bet this would really go over.  Just not in my house!  : )

  • Okay, Yuck.  Ken, I hope you enjoyed it….

  • it was good until you got the the cool whip!!!

  • On my.  My stomache is grumbling at the thought.

  • It doesn’t appeal to me either Haute cuisine – al la Ken ! They say it takes all sorts and a little of what you fancy does you good so how was he after his meal ? Marie

  • nice of Ken to do dinner, but alas men and meal prep……   ok alas ‘some’ men and meal prep.   the relish wasn’t so crazy but the whipped cream took having a savory and a sweet to new heights.

  • The relish I can see but not whipped cream. Though it may have been better than my eggs this morning.

    Check this video.

  • Well, Why not?  I’d say he is very creative.  It actually doesn’t look too bad but somehow relish with whipped cream is a little hard to swallow.  I wondered when I first looked what the green stuff was….lol.

  • with a few alterations I could handle it.. sub salsa for the catsup and sour cream for the whipped cream and chopped green chili for the relish and I could do it.. But, would not want it every day.   That said I would still be willing to give his version a try.  We all might be surprised at how good it was.

I think I will stick with my oatmeal and 1/2 banana.  LOL

  • Hello Mrs. Nancy,
You made your site simple yet elegant. The pictures are a nice touch. I see that you have a wide variety of interests and observations here!
Now is a good time to learn about the true God, Jehovah. “The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.” (Matthew 13:39, 41) (NIV)

  • What I watch on the picture is ” goodlooking ” and exciting . If the taste and the flavor are as good as the colors it should be good .
    Bravo Ken. 3 starred cook!

    Love
    Michel

  • Each to their own taste….yuckkky!
