  • The Summer of Romance!

First, we got the surprise news of granddaughter, Lydia, getting married to Nate.

    Now—-

Granddaughter, Mindy, just called us from LaCrosse to say that she and Andy are engaged!

At first, she said that we have a new grandson, and I thought they had eloped, like Lydia and Nate did!

They plan on probably getting married next year.  Today is the 5th anniversary of their going together–so special occasion all around.

We are excited for them!!  Andy is a nice guy.  He works in the head office of Ashley Furniture Co. here in WI.

They plan  on a small wedding.  Just family—-which will still be around 50 people!

Congratulations to both of them.  And welcome to the family, Andy (almost)!

  • Exciting news indeed Nancy!  Congratulations to the happy couple.

  • Congrats..two good looking couples.

  • You are rapidly adding to the family. That’s what happens when the g-kids grow up. We went to first of our great nephew/nieces weddings tonight. A very sweet ceremony. Our nephew cried as soon as he got out in front. He is such a good kid and has always looked ahead and saved and planned.

  • exciting news for you all I look forward hearing about about the preparations for the wedding

  • How nice! Take a hop over to my place and click that link for a wedding suggestion. (maybe)

  • Congratulations!  Your family is really changing!

(That’s quite a “just family” wedding!)

  • Dear Nancy,

    Congrats to the happy couple.

Re: Your earlier entry. If I were ever invited to a “Xanga luncheon” I wouldn’t fall asleep! Really, looks and sounds like you guys had a fantastic time.

(Oh, and thanks for the long comment on my latest blog entry. I do notice that you communicate on my Facebook, on which I post most of my Xanga entries anyway.) I’ve had my cane for over 20 years and I don’t think I’ve ever misplaced it. (It was used in “emergency situations” pre operation when in pain, and I’m off the walker now and using it for stability until my doctor says it’s okay to walk under my own power. ) Of course I find as I age that I do tend to get a bit more “forgetful”. This morning I almost forgot to use the “sock tool” and almost pulled my left foot up to the bed when dressing. I figured out I shouldn’t do that yet when the pain shot up into my hip!)

  • yippee!  congrats to the soon to be newlyweds!
