They may now be 6’6″ and 6’3″
but they will always be my “babies”
    HAPPY BIRTHDAYS

Louise sent a picture of the cake they made for Greg’s birthday yesterday.  Earlier in the day I had asked how they were going to decorate it, and they said they didn’t know yet.  I suggested a golf course, since Greg is superintendent of one.
This is what they came up with

I think they did a great job!

Received some pictures from the travelers, and swiped some pics Jeff just posted on his Facebook.  Here are a couple of them.

And, of course the obligatory picture of Catalina.  She is getting so big already.  Doesn’t seem possible she is almost 8 mos. old!

Beautiful weather today and tomorrow.  Ken is busy painting the foundation.  Oh, just remembered, he did some masonry work yesterday.  The one back corner of the house needed repair.  This house’s basement is made of a double wall of brick, and the one corner was breaking away above ground.  So he had to fix it.

Looks a little messy, but was still too wet to clean off.
    Today he painted it.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

  • new babies that are growing quickly and old babies that I am sure feel they are aging quickly lol.   nice mason you have in house!   you are getting great weather.

  • Wow-that baby has grown !–I like your handyman–looks like he did a good job. Tell him it’s spring and the gnomes are out !!!

  • Such a handsome and marvelous family.  The baby is 8 months already??? Impossible.  Time is flying by and it amazes me.  I think I have months to do something and then it is in the next two weeks.  I can’t seem to get motivated to facebook.  I know the games would be fun but I have trouble doing Xanga.  Sending love to you and all and the gnome in the corner doing the brickwork TONTOO

If you look at the first basement picture, just above and left of the wheelbarrow, in front of the birdbath, you will see a recent purchase. For some reason this little guy reminded me of someone–right down to the red hat. lol If you click on the pic and then click on it again, it will be bigger.

  • @bumblefish -

Ken had his own masonry business for 30 yrs.—-and he still remembers how to do it after being retired for 7 yrs!! lol

  • I can’t believe how big Catalina is getting!  She is really thriving.

I love all the detail on that cake.  Now, that’s a creation!

Ken did a wonderful job on the bricks – look at all the money he saved you! Now you need to go out and spend it!  : )

  • @suzyQ_darnit - lol—-I already have spent it—several times over!!!!!

  • The pictures are soooo good. That baby is growing like a weed! Doesn’t seem possible she is that old.

  • You and my mom – having babies so close together!

Don’t know if Sue told you yet, but we’ll be heading your way on July22, a Wednesday, and returning Monday or Tuesday of the following week.  Details to follow!  And yes, of course we still love you and are hoping to see you this summer!

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BABIES!  Until mom died at 89 I was always “her little girl” and proud to have her as a mom.  I was 58 when she died.

Val is my “little girl” and she’s …ummm let’s see…hmmm ….I forget.  21 years younger than me….so that makes her around 30 something…(or other, give or take a few years…)

Awww great pictures.  Catalina is a real cutie pie.

So is Ken, of course…he is doing great after his hip surgery.  John had it in 2002 and is ramp building today.  I can’t wait until I can get around with ease.

  • I love the name, Catalina!! She is as beautiful as her name! You can tell Ken knew what he was doing…what a good job on the foundation! Having the boys a year apart made them almost like twins. They don’t look alike, tho. Are their personalities alike?

So you  got one of those little knomes with read stocking cap and white beard…I cannot imagine who it reminds you of…LOL. At least Ken is not just a decoration…well, he is and then some, right????

  • A belated happy birthday to your big babies Catalina is losing the baby look and turning into a little girl

  • Now those are some big and handsome boys.

  • Your sons when they were 4 and 5 looked alike . I am convinced if Jeff had not mustaches I would look  like his brother yet . belated happy birthday to them.
Jeff’s family is beautiful : him , wife and children without forget , of course the jewel Catalina .
    I admire the mason ‘ s work . Tell Ken I congratule him .

Yes the presence of Isabelle and her children Sarah and Joe have been a important help . It sure I had not to bend over to plant the 300 plants of potatoes and the rows of onions and shallots . They liked this . Isabelle tought them the love of gardening .
    Love to you, Nancy
    Michel
