Hope you all have had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Ours was quiet.
Ken went to the store and bought a rotisserie chicken and an apple pie.
We will have our “Thanksgiving” on Sunday, when the local kids will come for turkey dinner—–and to decorate the tree. They have to earn their dinner! lol
On Monday I woke up and went into the bathroom, and looked out the window to a winter wonderland. We have a Mountain Ash outside our front window. It has so many berries on it this year. Normally, the robins eat almost all of them, but not this year. So, we can look outside during the dreary winter and see the beautiful red color. Took a picture of the white snow on the red berries. I love it when it is not windy when the snow falls. The flakes cover every tiny branch. So pretty.
Later that day Ken had to go to the store for something or other. (He seems to “have” to run for something or other every couple days). He came home with a “surprise” for me.
Nice surprise, huh??? They are his favorite color (s). He likes the bicolor.
On Tuesday we had to get up early and head to the dermitologist to have the cancer removed from Ken’s ear. If you are squeamish, don’t look at the picture. I took the picture when I changed the bandage. They are pretty sure it will heal well—-as long as we take care of it. Otherwise he will have to get a skin graft on it. It is about 1/16 of an inch deep, and about the size of a dime. He goes back again in 2 weeks to have two spots surgically removed from his right arm. They also removed the stitches from the two spots he had removed from his back two weeks earlier. They said they could see more coming out, and he is supposed to return in about three months to have them checked. In four weeks time–Dec. 16, he is to have a bunch of spots sprayed.
Let this be a warning to those of you who love to be out in the sun!!!
What a way to end a Thanksgiving entry!! But we are thankful that we have excellent doctors to treat these conditions before they turn deadly!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you, It’s good that the Drs are on top of Ken’s case.
Happy Thanksgiving! Have a wonderful time on Saturday
I LOVE the berry pic. How sweet is he to bring home flowers for his honey! Glad he is able to get the doctoring needed.
I thought you’d gone and died or something. I MISS MISS MISS your frequent postings.
Have fun Sat. Our dau and kids are supposed to be here in the afternoon to help decorate. I’ll just do chili and salad and probably cornbread.
Here alot of young girls are using sunbeds at the moment but they are being warned that they are storing up trouble for the future. Enjoy the Sunday with the family
You are so funny. How is one not to see the picture? Hold their hand up to the monitor?
You gave me an idea for Christmas dinner here this year.
Have a great family day on Sunday ! We used to have a mountain ash ( rowan tree ) that the birds loved, we had it cut down as it was too near to the house and was blocking out the light. I heard that the birds leave orange berries but they have stripped the pyracantha bush already.
I’m glad that Ken is getting his spots seen to and hope the treatment isn’t painful. Marie
Lovely pictures of the berries and snow…no so with Ken’s…lol. My Dad had to have some of the spots removed several years ago. You are right, it is being out in the sun without sunscreen or other things to protect the body.

Lovely flowers ken brought you back I didn’t think his ear was at all frightening I have looked at worse things ,are his spots black ,or coloured .I have loads on my back and in the past have had them burned off, one cut out but no cancer, Now i don’t bother ,my daughter Gillian had a tiny black spot on one arm and the scar they have left ,goes almost down her arm making it a bit thinner, she has regular checks ,luckily nothing fearful found since, and her doctor only cuts the black ones out, and he is a good surgeon, so knows which ate important .I used to go and have my non cancer ones done but if not cancerous not worth it ,and I would have been dead by now .Good luck to you both .I hope you both keep well as you were no,t a few times back ,but I don’t get on so much as I used to.. Love marj

So, can hubby hear better with a bigger hole? (ooooo..bad bad bad)..luvya!
Nature offers to you her winter presents , the berries covered of snow ,
Ken offered to you a gorgeous bouquet of roses
The good news about his ear on the way of the healing .
Tomorrow you will enjoy your Thanksgiving with your fmily and have the Christmas tree decorated .

Both photos are of beauty… just very different. Sweet of Ken to get you roses.
As I read I was wondering why he might need a skin graft. I had a cancer the size of a nickel removed from my neck and just have a thin scar. Then, seeing the photo, it dawned on me. The ear just doesn’t have extra skin the way the throat does.
Spots sprayed??? Please explain as this conjures a very odd gardening image in my mind.
yikes- I’m glad you are catching and taking care of this early too! I love the photo of the berries.
Hi, mimi! so get this – I went to genderanalyzer.com, where they analyze a web page to see if it was written by a man or a woman. Yours scored a 96% female.
Thank you Nancy for the post sent to me on Facebook . It ‘ s kind .

Ouch! That ear looks painful. I hope it is healing up by now.
I scrolled really fast past the picture, because I am sqeamish. Your comment made me laugh. I had a whole litany of things that could be growing in my side going through my head. The nice thing about that list was the operation to remove it and then I would be thirty pounds lighter with an hourglass figure! But, no. Just fat.
Hallo, What a beautiful sight to wake up to, we have had a tiny little bit of snow that has now gone but i am ever hopefull that one morning it will look like your first photo, best wishes to Ken and hoping for a speedy recovery.
So sorry I have not written. I hope Ken’s ear healed well. Glad you had a good T Day. I really enjoyed being with the family. I will spend Christmas week with Son & DIL! Sending love, friendship and thank you for all you do for me. Love
