I am at the motel by LaCrosse (West Salem) now. The baby is absolutely beautiful—-of course! lol Pictures when we get home.
Will be going over there again today. Have to get as much “Mimi” time in as possible with little “Cate”.
Ken’s brother’s party went great, too. The only “damper” on the party was that it was misting the whole time, and Karen had planned everything for on the deck. But they have a monstrous home, and everything was moved to the family room on the lower level. Merlin enjoyed the memory gifts—gave him a chuckle. I also found a figurine of a basset hound with an “Old Dog” sign around it’s neck. Karen had made up a little history of his life, along with music and props, which mentioned a couple of the things our gifts were related to—-cherry picking and after-bath treats.
I also got a hair-raising ride on Merlin’s gator around their back yard. Pictures and details later.
We will be returning home tomorrow (Tues.) morning. Talk to you then!!

Oh, come on!!! A wild ride in a GATOR???!!! lol That is just the more expensive version of our MULE. You must be kidding?! Now had you said 4-wheeler I mighta bought it. Glad the g-dau is living up to expectations….you have good looking g-kids so wouldn’t want her to break the mold. Know she is so sweet! Glad you have had a good trip. Where is Jeff off to next and when?
Oh, forgot….think we are going to Duluth the week of the 20th of Oct at some point. Told Wil that if things were steady here…we are starting some of the building/re-pair projects and if the money is there…I’d like to look into driving across WI to Two Rivers. Have to see. Tell me what I can use to entice him as far as sight seeing stuff and tourist fun things all across the area we would come through. What hwy would we take?

Of course that baby is beautiful! Glad you finally got to see and enjoy her. I thought about you on Saturday with all that rain we had around here. Glad it didn’t put a “damp”er on the party! lol
