  • Welcome to the world, baby S. !!!!

I was awakened around 2:30 a.m. to the sound of a baby crying—–it was coming from the answering machine, which is next to my bed.

I use ear plugs at night, and did not hear the phone ring, or the answering message.  I did wake in time to hear Jeff’s quick message that they have a baby girl, and she was crying in the background.  By the time I picked up the phone he had hung up.

I grabbed the cordless phone and went upstairs to Ken’s bedroom to let him know.  We then called Jeff back.

God was watching over them for sure!!

This past weekend, before going south to be near the midwives, they had taken the bus up north near Hayward
WI for another performance the two girls had.  Yesterday, Monday, they had packed everything up in LaCrosse, and headed down to the campground near the midwives.  They had just settled in and gotten everything set up.  Jeff and Judy took a walk around the campground near 9 p.m., and while walking, Judy started getting contractions.  She had been having slight ones while we were there, but she knew it wasn’t the “real” thing.  This time they WERE real.  The baby was born about 1:30 a.m., with the midwives in attendance.  Everything went beautifully.  Both baby girl and Judy came through with flying colors!

They still have not decided on a name for her—-as of 2:30 this morning.  I forgot to ask about weight, etc..  She does have dark hair, and Jeff thinks there is a hint of red, but hard to tell in just the lights of the bus.

We are not sure if we are going to go down there or not.  We have only been home a week since the last trip.

Congratulations, Sweeties!!  We now have a “Baker’s Dozen” grandchildren—”lucky” 13!  God Bless You All!!!

     EDIT
