The baby’s name is:
Catalina Marie
Marie is my mother’s name.
They had a long list of names to choose from. Each of the grands there put marks next to the names they liked best. When we had left LaCrosse, Catalina seemed to be the most popular—it was my favorite, too. Almost all of the names were place names of places they had traveled through. The Catalina mountains are the mountains at Tucson, where I grew up. So this is a meaningful name for me.
Good choice, kids!
